It has been a long time since I have been able to access the “Classic Site” on my iPhone. So frustrating!
In the past, all I had to do was click “Classic Site” at the bottom of the screen when using Safari, and the desktop version would appear. I cannot run my business from my phone without accessing the desktop version of the site. I need to be able to see the custom labels, for example. The custom labels tell me when an item was listed and where the item is located. I asked the employees at eBay Open to show me how to access the classic site from my phone, but nobody could help me.
Well, the mystery has been solved! On Saturday, I talked to a customer service rep who came to the rescue! He told me that he had dealt with this issue in the department in which he used to work. Thank you, Thomas!
Here are the steps to accessing the desktop version of eBay on an iPhone:
When using Safari, go to the eBay website, and click on the “send” symbol at the bottom of the screen.
A host of options will appear at the bottom of the screen. Swipe to the right. One of the options will be “Request Desktop Site.” That’s it! You’re done!
If you’re using Chrome, go to the eBay website and click on the three black dots in the upper right-hand corner of the page. “Request Desktop Site” will be one of the options that appears.
