Interested in knowing more about eBay buyers? Check out my new video series!

As I’ve mentioned before, I do almost all my shopping at yard sales and thrift shops.  I really don’t shop much on eBay or in traditional retail establishments.  This puts me at a real disadvantage as a seller.  I don’t know much about the eBay buyer.

What are people searching for?  How do they search? What keywords are they typing into the eBay search box?  How savvy are shoppers when it comes to using eBay’s filtering tools?

Some of this info can be obtained by looking at Omniture reports or the Google Keyword Tool, but I thought it would be interesting to go one step further. I’ve decided to start interviewing buyers.

This weekend, I was at a cafe with my friend.  She started talking about her eBay buying habits, so I got out my iPhone and created my first interview!

I’m working on making future interviews look more professional.  This one is pretty homemade (a homemade video on the eBay Life Blog?  How unusual!),  but it’s full of great information.  And since there’s not much to look at, you might just want to sit back, close your eyes, and listen!

Hope you enjoy it!

Great idea to hear from average buyers how they use eBay!! I’ve read heaps of stuff from ‘experts’ that tell you how people use eBay but never seen someone take the time to actually interview people. I’m looking forward to hearing more interviews.
